My heart breaks for people who feel lost and alone. It’s even worse for people who have a lot to be thankful for, yet they are severely depressed. Let me quickly tell you something that will benefit you because the truth is very plain and free (as it should be). It is a terrible thing to forget about God, this alone can cause depression and anxiety.

“Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done (Romans 1:28).”

Question everything!!

Some people believe we are in a computer simulation; others think we developed over eons from molecules in the water to plants and then to animals that breathe on the land and then to our present form. As a human family, we haven’t explored the possibility of God’s existence enough. Three questions seem to repel people from the idea of God. First, if God is real or good, why did/does he allow bad things to happen? That is the paradox of a free and liberal society. Yes, God has a liberal view on how to run the universe, and at the same time, there will be ultimate accountability for all creatures. In the beginning, the Lord created man and woman in his image and gave them choices or freedom. There was a tree that would give them life and a tree that would give them knowledge of right and wrong. They chose to be independent of God (who was their Father). The Lord told them beforehand that the tree of knowledge would result in death and blessed every other food source (even the tree of life). The Devil convinced them that God was hiding the truth from them, and they believed the lie. In other words, the Devil wants you to believe that God is not good, which will cause you to be lost.

“They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen (Romans 1:25).”

Today there is a choice before every person who can still make it, put your faith in the Lord God, creator of the universe and all realms, or choose your own path as others have done to their own peril.

Drive out Depression

We are not prisoners nor robots who are programmed. God allowed humans to experience the freedom of choice with the appropriate consequences. The question is not why he does not stop evil but why he lets us choose our path. How awesome and terrifying is that? He expects you (if you have eyes) to see the world around you and glorify your God. If you have ears, you can hear the rushing sound of a waterfall or beautiful songs by the birds.  If you don’t care about any of those things, then you will not feel the presence of God in your life, which drives out depression.

“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse (Romans 1:18-20).”

Say this in your heart, “I believe in you, God, help me believe the good news of your son Jesus Christ.” There is hope in what you just did because the Lord God made everything and appeared to us as Jesus Christ. The evil spirits and the Devil, who want to oppress you and keep you from the faith, were shaken by this event as Jesus destroyed the works of the Devil. All sin/evil/forgetting God is forgiven for everyone who believes in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

The second question is if God is real or good, why doesn’t he stop bad things from happening? This is the same question as the first, except in reverse. God does stop evil, but he also allows things to play out for his purposes. If he stopped all evil immediately, no one would be alive today. Use this brief moment in time to return to the God you forgot about. The one you never consider when you awaken every morning. If someone has or is hurting you right now, don’t believe that is God. Evil people can harm the body, but they can never take your faith nor change your mind.

Now is the time to stop listening to the Devil in your head

Now is the time of God’s favor; we are in a period where he is calling people out of darkness, out of sinful behavior, and out of forgetfulness of the holy things of God. We are to trust God that he is coming to restore the earth to a righteous place, and all the peoples of the earth will worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This is not a fantasy but a reality yet to unfold. Join many souls as we walk in faith with God and put our trust in his Son and listen and obey his words.

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again (John 3:3).”

He is coming back!

Third, if God is real, why doesn’t he reveal himself right now? Jesus is coming back in his own time, and it will not be good for many people. The Lord will destroy all who do not want to be in his Kingdom. We are just trying to tell you before it happens. If you want to see God, you need to believe in him while you have breath in your lungs. Right now, go in your closet and close the door behind you. Cry out to God and pour out your frustration and your doubts to him. Be humble and believe in Jesus Christ, who died for your sins/evil and rose again as our Lord and Messiah (to Israel and the whole world). When we see him, we see God! Return to your God and stop fighting against him. If you do this, you will be saved from the great day judgment and have eternal life (forever)!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. (John 3:16-18)”
